Plot

“The story revolves around Auto Memory Dolls (自動手記人形 Jidō Shuki Ningyō): people initially employed by a scientist named Dr. Orland to assist his blind wife Mollie in writing her novels, and later rented out to other people who needed their services. In the present time, the term refers to the industry of writing for others. The story follows Violet Evergarden’s journey of reintegrating back into society after the war is over and her search for her life’s purpose now that she is no longer a soldier.”

This anime is super good. The main character, named Violet, was a “tool” [mistreated human used only for her abilities] of war. During the war she is pasted off to an Army officer named Gilbert. Before meeting him Violet could barely talk and couldn’t read. Upon seeing Violets conditions he decides to take her in. He also decides to teat her more humanely.  The Anime begins after the war has ended. This anime mostly deals with Violet struggle to adapt to society.

I highly recommend this anime. As usual if you’re still reading at this point I don’t know why you’re still here. Stop reading and start watching. You can thank me later.
